Two Warren County Schools chosen for the Kentucky Community Schools Initiative
Bowling Green, KY.- Warren County Public Schools is launching the Kentucky Community Schools Initiative in two local schools. Jennings Creek Elementary and Henry F. Moss Middle Schools are 2 of 40 schools in the Commonwealth chosen for the pilot of this initiative.
This is an engagement effort to get the community involved in the school system and supporting higher-quality education, in hopes of moving these schools to the next level.
Director of Family Resource and Youth Services for WCPS, says, “Our goal is to simply make sure that we are doing a great job of involving families, involving the community, involving anybody who has a vested interest in those two schools, to be a part of those schools and to have input into what’s going to make it the best it’s going to be.”
Warren County Public Schools is holding a community conversation this Thursday at Hillvue Heights Church at 5 p.m. to seek input from the community on the best ways to implement this strategy.
