Two men arrested following discovery of 225 grams of methamphetamine in Scottsville
SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – Two men are facing charges relating to drug possession following a residence search in Scottsville.
The Allen County-Scottsville Crime Task Force, Allen County Sheriff Department and Scottsville Police Department executed a search warrant on Aug. 15 on a residence located on North Parkside Drive.
Upon arrival, the warrant service team approached and surrounded the residence and announced the search warrant, according to authorities. The Allen County-Scottsville Crime Task Force stated Timothy E. Austin, 48, fled from the residence on foot and was apprehended.
Officials further stated they entered the home and arrested Bobby S. Meador, 25, of Scottsville. In addition, an investigation led to the discovery of a firearm, $348 in U.S. currency and 225 grams of methamphetamine, according to authorities.
Austin was held in the Allen County Detention Center and charged with trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine), tampering with physical evidence, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance and possession of a handgun by convicted felon.
Meador was held in the Allen County Detention Center and charged with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and tampering with physical evidence.
