Two friends save Edmonson County man from house fire

BROWNSVILLE, Ky. – Two friends saved an Edmonson County man from a house fire on Sunday.

According to WNKY News 40 partner The Edmonson Voice, the Chalybeate and Wingfield Fire Departments, Edmonson EMS, Warren RECC, Edmonson County Water, and the Edmonson County Sheriff’s Office responded to 191 Arthur Lindsey Road at approximately 1:30 pm to a structure fire.

Firefighters say they located the owner of the home Oval Lindsey, 77, with injuries outside the home, which was engulfed in flames.

Chalybeate Fire Chief Daniel Johnson says two friends visiting relatives saw the fire and rescued Lindsey. Allen and Courtney Johnson broke through a back window of the home.

Lindsey sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
