Two arrested on drug trafficking charges

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A man and woman from Bowling Green were arrested after a search warrant execution on Saturday.
On April 9 around 7:40 p.m., Edmonson County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at the 3900 block on Chalybeate School Road after receiving intel of possible drug trafficking, according to a release by the sheriff’s office.
Law Enforcement made contact with Steven Wade Embry, 26, of Bowling Green and Kyra Leeann Holt, 29, of Bowling Green, both residents of the home.
The search warrant was served and after a thorough search of the residence, deputies discovered two firearms, drug paraphernalia, suspected marijuana, suspected methamphetamine and cash.
Embry and Holt were both arrested.
Embry was charged with trafficking in controlled substance, first degree, first offense ( > or = 2 mg methamphetamine- firearm enhanced), trafficking marijuana (less than 8 oz.), first offense (firearm enhanced), drug paraphernalia – buy/possess (firearm enhanced), possession of firearm by convicted felon, possession of handgun by convicted felon and persistent felony offender I.
Holt was charged with trafficking in controlled substance, first degree, first offense (> or = 2 gms methamphetamine – firearm enhanced), trafficking in marijuana (less than 8 oz), first offense (firearm enhanced) and drug paraphernalia – buy/possess (firearm enhanced).
Both were lodged in Hart County Jail.
