TSA releasing 2024 canine calendar

(CNN) – The Transportation Security Administration is releasing something we can look forward to heading into the new year.

In case you are wondering, it has nothing to do with long lines this holiday season.

The agency is showing off its 2024 canine calendar, which highlights hard working canines from across the nation.

There are more than 1,000 explosive-detection dogs featured.

The cover girl is Dina, the winner of the 2023 cutest canine contest.

The 3-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer works at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas.

The calendar isn’t just full of cute pups – you will also learn some facts about dogs.

For example, did you know a dog’s nose is powerful enough to detect substances at concentrations of one part per trillion?

That is about the same as a single drop of liquid in 20 Olympic-size swimming pools.
