Trump lashes out at McCain

(NBC News) President Trump lashed out at a series of targets in a string of tweets over the weekend, from the Russia investigation to “Saturday Night Live,” but it’s what he’s saying about former Senator John McCain that has some on both sides of the aisle upset.

Nearly seven months after McCain’s death from brain cancer, the president accused the late senator of “spreading the fake and totally discredited Dossier” that sparked the Mueller investigation, calling it one of McCain’s “stains.”

McCain’s daughter Meghan, speaking on “The View,” responded with harsh criticism of her own aimed back at Trump.

“He spends his weekend obsessing over great men because he knows it, and I know it and all of you know it, he will never be a great man,” McCain said.
