Travis Hudson talks improvements for WKU volleyball after opening weekend

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU volleyball recently took part in the Bluegrass Battle in Lexington, Kentucky, over the weekend.

The Lady Tops came home with wins over Moorehead State and Northern Kentucky, as well as one loss against No. 9 Kentucky, falling by a score of 3-1 to the Wildcats.

Head coach Travis Hudson spoke on Monday about one thing the team will be focusing on this week at practice.

“We chose a defensive approach to preseason this year and really kind of put offense on the back burner a little bit,” Hudson said. “That’s unusual for me because we’re usually one of the better offensive teams in the country, and I think it showed. I think there’s some things offensively that we need to be better at and that’ll be a big focus this week.”
