Toys for Tots hosts motorcycle run to benefit children in need

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Toys for Tots Motorcycle Run cruised through Bowling Green, Scottsville and Franklin on Saturday.

The event, organized by the Templar Knights Motorcycle Club, raises money for the United States Marine Corps Reserve’s program that delivers Christmas gifts to children in need.

Cory Moyers, president of the Templar Knights, says, “The Toys for Tots is a great organization to support. They help a lot of kids. And, you know, kids are the future. Toys for Tots makes sure that every child has a joyous Christmas. They receive at least one gift and some attention that they might not otherwise get.”

This was the 23rd year for the fundraiser, with 58 bikers participating, and it’s not too late for you to get involved.

Collection boxes for toys are throughout south-central Kentucky. All toys and money donated are used locally.
