‘Tops Live’ makes special stop at Colton’s Steak House & Grill
GLASGOW, Ky. – Monday afternoon, a pair of Hilltopper head coaches hit the road for a special edition of ‘Tops Live’ being held at Colton’s Steak House & Grill just down the road in Glasgow.
WKU football’s Tyson Helton and men’s basketball’s Hank Plona stopped through Barren County to interact with the local community along with their radio interviews.
Also making the trip was new Topper quarterback Maverick McIvor and Topper guard Teagan Moore.
Following the show, and of course the fine steak dinner, both head coaches took a second to reflect on how important it is to get out into the southcentral Kentucky area and build those relationships with the fanbase.
“ Obviously Bowling Green and Warren County is tremendous, but obviously the Western Kentucky basketball history travels in our area, so it’s great to be here and it’s great to meet some diehard fans and we look forward to seeing everybody in Diddle this year for sure,” said Plona.
“It’s great to be here, you know, great to see the fan base,” said Helton. “Hadn’t had a chance to be around the fans in a couple months, so it was great, kind of get the early summer feeling as you’re building up for the season and get the momentum going, so it was great to have everybody out here. It was really neat.”
