Tompkinsville man arrested after allegedly stealing a truck while under the influence

TOMPKINSVILLE, Ky. – A Monroe County man was arrested after allegedly stealing a truck while under the influence.

According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO), a truck was reported stolen on Ebenezer Road Tuesday morning.

During the investigation, MCSO received information that the truck was seen in the Fountain Run and Flippin areas of Monroe County.

Deputies responded to the area and located the truck in Flippin. A deputy conducted a traffic stop and identified the suspect as 29-year-old Dylan Russell, of Tompkinsville. Police allege that Russell was under the influence during the incident.

Russell was arrested and transported to the Barren County Detention Center. He is charged with receiving stolen property $1,000 < $10,000 and driving on a DUI suspended license – 1st offense (agg circum).

The investigation is ongoing.
