Tie down your Halloween decorations in preparation for the storms

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Many of you ghouls and goblins have spooky decorations outside of your haunted mansions, but with storms coming Friday night, you may want to bring the haunting indoors.

With the wind gusts expected, you probably would not like to donate your decorations to your neighbor a few doors down.

These are some tips on making sure your Halloween decorations stay safe during the storms.

It is recommended to bring lighter items inside if they cannot be strapped down.

Use zip ties or ground anchors to hold larger items in place so they don’t tip over and break.

You can also put large stones or bricks at the base of other decorations to keep your ghosts from flying away.
