The Kentucky Museum is installing a multi-media exhibit of south-central Kentucky’s musical heritage
BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- A new exhibit at the Kentucky Museum is expected to be done in about a year, and the museum is asking for community support in their campaign. This exhibit, “Sonic Landscape,” has been a work in progress for the last five years, in hopes of showcasing the musical heritage in our region.
Because this exhibit will use technology to incorporate the music, museum officials say the Sonic Stagecrew Campaign allows you to help with extra expenses during the completion of this project.
Director of the Kentucky Museum, Brent Bjorkman, says, “It’s a way to talk about the essence of music here in South Central Kentucky. We’re this close to Nashville but we have a unique history and culture that has been internationally recognized, and we just want to celebrate that and validate and elevate those voices of people that are part of that.”
