The Capitol Theatre offers warming space to community

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – In downtown Bowling Green, The Capitol by the Warren County Public Library is opening its doors to everyone who needs a warm place to stay.

From 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Jan. 7, 8 and 9, the historic theater will be facilitating a warming center for anyone in need along with lunch every day. This is not only for the homeless population but those who might not have heat at home.

News 40 spoke to Magnolia Gramlin, the theatre’s manager who said this is a time to exercise community.

Gramlin also mentioned that this type of communal service is a year round thing between various organizations in the city and if you are ever feeling the urge to donate clothes, food or toiletries, staff will make sure it goes where it needs to.
