Tennessee man sentenced for illegal possession of firearms in Allen County

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A man has been sentenced for charges related to illegally possessing firearms in Allen County.

According to the United States Attorney’s Office, Western District of Kentucky, Christopher R. Blankenship, 42, of Lafayette, Tennessee was sentenced to 3 years and 10 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release.

Blankenship was sentenced for illegal possessing multiple firearms and ammunition on June 12, 2022 in Allen County, officials say.

Blankenship was prohibited from possessing a firearm because he had previously been convicted of vehicular homicide-intoxication and aggravated assault.
