TEN-4 Awareness Day proclamation held at Bowling Green City Hall
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Family Enrichment Center hosted a celebration of TEN-4 Awareness Day at Bowling Green City Hall on Friday.
The proclamation was delivered by City and County Officials.
TEN-4 is an acronym used to identify bruising and marks that are a cause for concern in children 4 and under. It stands for Torso, Ears, and Neck.
Healthcare, social, and childcare workers receive training to look for signs of child abuse. The initiative was started to inform those not within those professions to look out for signs of child abuse.
Adults in the Commonwealth of Kentucky are mandated to report child abuse.
