T.J. Community Mission Foundation hosts ribbon cutting for new office location

GLASGOW, Ky. – The T.J. Community Mission Foundation celebrated the opening of its office in Glasgow on Thursday.

As the philanthropic branch of T.J. Regional Health, the foundation works to build healthier communities in south-central Kentucky with projects, such as providing car seats for infants or families in need as they leave the hospital for their first ride home. They also raised funds to build a hospice center.

Randy Burns, executive director of the T.J. Community Mission Foundation, says, “Being able to address all of the different facets of health care through the work of the foundation by partnering with families and businesses and individuals in our community who have a desire to be a part of that positive change is a beautiful thing.”

Next month, the foundation will put on the Hometown Showdown Lip Sync Battle at Glasgow’s Plaza Theatre.

The event will raise funds for the group’s work, including their latest capital project: The Trinity Rehabilitation Center at Samsonville Square, which will be a unique-for-Kentucky rehabilitation clinic for the region.
