BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Warren County Sheriff’s Office investigated an injury accident on Tuesday evening.

Sheriff Brett Hightower says deputies responded to the collision on Interstate 65 northbound at the 20.2-mile marker in Warren County.

Hightower says traffic on I-65 was moving slowly due to an incident being investigated by the Kentucky State Police at the 23 and 24-mile markers.

The accident at the 20.2-mile marker involved an SUV crashing into a semi-truck.

The driver of the vehicle became entrapped and had to be extracted.

Hightower says the driver was transported by ambulance to the Medical Center at Bowling Green and then flown to Skyline Hospital in Nashville.

A level two investigation was then conducted.

Hightower says the Warren County Fire Department, Alvaton Fire Department, Bowling Green Fire Department, Medical Center EMS, and the Kentucky Department of Highways assisted WCSO at the scene.
