LEXINGTON, Ky. (WLEX) – When most people are taking cover or trying to get away from a storm, 23-year-old Chris Hall is going right toward it.

This weekend was no exception as he made his way from Bowling Green to Clarksville and Springfield, Tennessee then back into Kentucky from Burkesville to Monticello.

Hall updated his social media followers along the way and described in real time what he saw, all while showing his point of view.

“Here I am on the livestream, I’m saying, ‘people in Clarksville, people in Oakwood, all the way up to the Kentucky-Tennessee state line, you need to be watching this storm,'” Hall said.

He said about five minutes later, a tornado appeared.

“A lot of people don’t take warnings seriously because, especially around our next of the woods, ‘tornadoes don’t happen’. Tornados can happen anywhere,” Hall said.

Not only does he help hundreds of people on his hours-long live streams. He also helps those in trouble along the way, wherever his journey takes him.

For the Perry County, Kentucky native, it is all he’s ever wanted to do.

“It’s really been a lifelong dream,” Hall said.

Two years after devastating tornadoes in western Kentucky, Hall is grateful this time had a much different result.
