State police investigating fatal Fulton County collision

FULTON, Ky. – A Tennessee man is dead as a result of a crash in Fulton County.

Kentucky State Police Post 1 says it responded to a request from the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office to investigate a collision involving a pedestrian and a vehicle in the 4000 block of East State Line Road at 6:19 am.

KSP says Jordan B. Owens, 44 of Greenfield, TN, operated a Mack garbage truck. It stalled over the center line of the roadway. Owens exited the vehicle following the stall.

Detectives say Jose Gomez Carrillo, 25 of Mayfield, and a passenger Oseas Hernandez Gomes, 19 of Mayfield, were traveling westbound on East State Line Road in a car.

KSP says the car collided Owens. He was transported to an out-of-state hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

The investigation is ongoing.
