State police investigating fatal crash in Adair County

COLUMBIA, Ky. – Kentucky State Police is investigating a fatal crash in Adair County.

KSP Post 15 says troopers responded to Russell Springs Road to a two-vehicle injury collision on Monday morning.

KSP’s initial investigation indicates that a vehicle was traveling west on Russell Springs Road, driven by Lucas Gregorio, 39, of Columbia. Gregorio’s vehicle crossed the center line and struck a vehicle driven by Bobby Sexton, 49, of Columbia. Sexton was traveling east.

Gregorio was pronounced dead at the site of the crash by the Adair County Coroner’s Office.

Sexton and a juvenile passenger were transported to TJ Health Columbia Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The Adair County Sheriff’s Office, Adair County Fire/EMS, Adair County Coroner’s Office, and the Kentucky State Highway Department assisted at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
