Staircase Wineshop to open in historic downtown Bowling Green building

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A new business is renovating a historic building in downtown Bowling Green. Staircase Wineshop is a new shopping experience coming to the area.

The new wine shop is part of the 1837 Quigley-Younglove Building and is located where the original staircase led to the upstairs apartments.

The wineshop will give visitors a chance to explore the world through wine and give personalized findings and advice to each customer.

Owner of Staircase Wineshop, Bill Kehrwald, says, “Sometimes they mean a lack of fruit, sometimes they mean a little higher acidity, so to be able to unpack what the customer is actually saying, and then to be able to guide them into an area that they may find something that they really love.”

Staircase Wineshop is in need of a few more aesthetic updates and minor renovations and is expected to open within the next few weeks.
