Spay and neuter clinic in progress for Butler County Animal Shelter

MORGANTOWN, Ky. – The Butler County Animal Shelter is getting closer to having a new addition for the community.
High intakes at local animal shelters remain an ongoing problem, but the shelter is aiming to tackle animal overpopulation by encouraging spaying and neutering your pets.
“We chose to build our spay/neuter clinic now because shelters and rescues are drowning,” the shelter stated Thursday. “Resources are limited. The animal welfare world is in crisis.”
The shelter says the new clinic will be located on Industrial Drive north of Morgantown, Kentucky.
