South Warren’s Elrod signs with Trevecca Nazarene volleyball
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – South Warren High School volleyball senior Zoe Elrod signed the dotted line on Wednesday night to play just an hour away from home in college at Trevecca Nazarene University.
Elrod will join the Trojans after a four-year career as a Lady Spartan, one where she amassed a program record in kills on the court.
After signing, Elrod discussed how she hopes that record can motivate future Lady Spartans and what she’s taking from her time wearing the school’s black and silver.
“I think it’ll really help push the next classes to come through to always be better, and it’s really pushed me to be that leader for the team, so taking that with me, I think it’ll help me in college because it’ll make me want to set records again,” Elrod said. “I learned a lot about teamwork. I think everything here, we all do it together. You can’t win a game without teamwork, you have to work together the whole time, so I’ve learned a lot about that and just being with my friends and making memories.”
