Sonic on Nashville Road closed until further notice after fire

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Sonic located on Nashville Road in Bowling Green is closed until further notice following a fire Sunday morning.

According to Bowling Green Fire Department public information officer Katie Mckee, BGFD units responded around 7:03 a.m. to a reported structure fire at Sonic on Nashville Road.

McKee says units arrived on scene and observed smoke coming from all four sides of the eaves of the building. She says employees evacuated.

McKee says the fire was under control within 15 minutes. Fire officials say no injuries have been reported at this time.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

McKee confirmed the restaurant will remain closed until further notice.
