SOKY Ice Rink back in town!
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Downtown Bowling Green is getting even more festive.
SOKY Ice Ring makes it way back to the marketplace this season for the 6th year. And this year, for the first time ever, the rink will offer skating lessons! Among free teaching, leagues will also take place on the ice. News 40 swung by as the crew was setting up for opening night this Friday and spoke to the two women who work hard to make sure the show goes on.
Nikki Koller, the Assistant Director of Warren County Public Works said she’s happy to see it become a holiday tradition for some families, being that they are open on Thanksgiving and Christmas day.
Leah Spurlin, the Director of Special Programs for Warren County Parks & Rec said for those first time skaters to think twice about coming on a Saturday night as the rink does get pretty crowded.
