SKYCTC nursing graduate shares experience with top-ranking program
GLASGOW, Ky.- South Central Kentucky Community and Technical College is being recognized for its success in its nursing program.
Both Glasgow and Bowling Green SKYCTC campuses received this recognition, with Glasgow ranked number one and Bowling Green ranked number two in the Commonwealth by RegisteredNursing.org.
The SKYCTC registered nursing program prepares students with hands-on experience through clinicals and labs, and supplies local hospitals with skilled and ready-to-work nurses.
Meghan Strode, graduate of the registered nursing program at SKYCTC in Glasgow, and a T.J. Samson Community Hospital RN, says, “I was pretty familiar with it, and I had done several skills in clinicals before actually working, so I was more comfortable with it. You hear talk in the hospital too, they’re like, ‘You know, SKY nurses, they’re one of a kind, they’re top tier.'”
The rankings are found through an annual assessment of Kentucky Nursing Programs, and the SKYCTC nursing program has been a leading source for RNs for many years.
