SkillsUSA Week proclaimed in Barren County

Glasgow, Ky. – Students at the Barren County Area Technology Center were joined by the county judge-executive Tuesday for a proclamation.

SkillsUSA is a student led organization that focuses on honing professional and trade skills to prepare students for successful trades. Today in the Barren County, judge Jamie Bewley Byrd signed a proclamation to bring SkillsUSA Week to the area.

SkillsUSA state president Taylor Strange told News 40 that the organization has given her many benefits and said for students interested in a technical or trade career, the organization is a good step to take for anyone in high school.
