Sigma Nu and Baptist Campus Ministries of WKU hand out Thanksgiving meals

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Wednesday afternoon, the brothers of Western Kentucky University’s chapter of the Sigma Nu fraternity stopped by LifeSkills to hand out Thanksgiving dinners to the homeless community that they serve.

Those in need got to stop by and pick up either a turkey or ham dinner to take home for the holiday.

The Baptist Campus Ministry joined in as well to help provide meals for those who are unhoused or otherwise in need.

For one member of Sigma Nu, who also works with LifeSkills, this is an amazing opportunity to give back to the people he helps out.

“Working with LifeSkills, seeing clients and seeing so many things that are so important. I’m using this as a tool to give back to the community because I love Bowling Green, I love Western, and I really want to be able to do as much as I can while I’m here, while I have all these resources, I have all these great guys to work with me because I love this chapter. The BCM has been so great, and we’re so grateful for them, and then obviously LifeSkills, working with them has been so great. They’ve been so helpful to us along the way,” Gabe Carson says.

Fellow brother Adam Vincent, who we also spoke to, says even though they try to do funnier ideas for events on campus to help raise money, being able to do things like this makes all of that worth it.
