Police make arrest after an early morning shooting
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A woman is in critical condition after being shot early Saturday morning and her boyfriend is in jail accused of shooting her.
Warren County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to Tristar Greenview Regional Hospital after being notified that a woman was dropped off there after she sustained a gunshot wound to the head.
Justin Jerome Johnson, 36, is accused of shooting Ericka Canada, 26, during an altercation at 340 A Hilltopper Ave., according to a release from the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.
Johnson was also identified as the person dropped Canada off at the emergency room, according to the release.
WCSO found Johnson’s vehicle on Fox Run Way where they found Johnson asleep in a home.
He was detained without incident, according to the release .
The crime scene and suspect vehicle were processed for evidence after warrants were obtained.
Johnson is charged with first-degree assault and possession of a handgun by convicted felon.
Canada is listed in critical condition at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.
The investigation is on going at this time.

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A woman was shot and dropped off in the emergency room at TriStar Greenview Regional Hospital at about 3:40 a.m. Saturday.
The incident is beloved to have originally occurred in the southern portion of Warren County, Warren County Sheriff Brett Hightower said.
Deputies want to find the person driving a vehicle captured in the surveillance video.
The woman was transferred to a Nashville trauma center, Hightower said.
