Senator Rand Paul visits Glasgow, speaks on impeachment hearing
GLASGOW, Ky. – Senator Rand Paul making a stop at Felker Brothers Corporation in Glasgow Friday, giving his thoughts on multiple federal and local issues.
The steel piping manufacturing facility plays a significant economic role in the Commonwealth.
Paul spent the afternoon touring the facility and meeting employees.
The senator also speaking on the impeachment proceedings, saying nothing in the hearings has caused him to think differently about President Trump and the job he’s doing as Commander in Chief.
“I think we are doing pretty well right now. We have the lowest unemployment in my lifetime. One of the problems business people are telling me is that they are having trouble finding people to work. That’s a good thing, and that usually means wages and salaries will go up. Just since President Trump was elected the median income for a family has gone up $5000,” said Paul.
Democrats accuse Trump of trying to exchange military aid for investigations into Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden.
“Seems like everybody wants to influence Ukraine’s aid and tell Ukraine what to do, what to investigate and not investigate. So, I mean, they are saying the president wanted them to investigate Hunter Biden, well, Joe Biden didn’t them to investigated son’s business. You can have a valid disagreement. Someone can say ‘Well, I disagree with what the president did.’ Is that against the law? They ended up getting their aid and they never got the investigation,” said Paul.
