Sen. Rand Paul honors legacy of local broadcaster Don Neagle

RUSSELLVILLE, Ky. – Sen. Rand Paul honored the late Don Neagle with a congressional record. A congressional record is awarded to an individual who has dedicated their life to better their community.

For those who didn’t know, Neagle, who passed away in February, spent over six decades working at WRUS in Russellville co-owning, hosting, and directing shows.

His daughter, Lisa Whitt was on hand today to accept the congressional record on his behalf. Judge Phil Baker spoke on the legacy Neagle left behind as man who was voice of Logan county for over sixty years saying, “Of 50 plus 52 plus years I’ve been on this planet. My mornings have always, from toddler all through school age has been listening to Don on the air. He has been the actual voice of Logan County. He was the original and will always be to me, the actual voice of Logan County.”
