Sen. Wilson endorses Rep. Barr for U.S. Senate

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Kentucky State Senator and Majority Whip Mike Wilson announced his endorsement for Kentucky’s new U.S. Senator.
On Thursday, Wilson issued a release stating his support for U.S. Congressman Andy Barr.
“Western Kentucky needs a leader with proven results, and someone who has the experience and relationships in Washington, DC, who can hit the ground running for Kentucky as our next U.S. Senator. That candidate is Andy Barr,” said Sen. Wilson.
Rep. Barr announced his campaign for Kentucky’s Senate seat on April 22.
U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell announced his retirement on February 20, a position he’s held since 1985.
Rep. Barr has served as Kentucky’s 6th Congressional District since 2013.
Sen. Wilson has represented Kentucky’s 32nd Senate District since 2011.
Kentucky’s general election will be held on November 3, 2026.
