See you at the pole, Allen County!

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – The 4th Wednesday of every September is “See You At The Pole Day” and in Allen County, citizens gather around the flagpole at the judicial center to pray for better days.

the event involves students praying together on the fourth Wednesday in September – usually before school and at the school’s flag pole. Adults often pray in support of the students on campus by gathering nearby at their places of work or worship or at city halls. Victory Hill Dream Center hosts “See You At The Pole Day” annually to help unify the community.

This year, Darren Blankenship led the prayer, who told News 40 that prayer is important now more than ever and he believes that America is wildly divided. Blankenship said he encourages everyone to pray for better schools, better counties and better communities as 2023 comes to a close.

“I feel like when we all come together, God answers those prayers.”
