Section of U.S. 31-W to close for BGMU project

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green Municipal Utility project is temporarily closing a section of U.S. 31-W Bypass.

According to BGMU, the road is closed between U.S. 231 Broadway Avenue and East 15th Ave. starting this morning at 6 a.m. and will reopen Friday, Sept. 23, depending on weather.

BGMU warns that drivers may need to use alleyways for access, although entry to U.S. 31-W will be kept available as much as possible.

BGMU warns that several closures will take place in the coming weeks and months. More information on those will be released at a later date.
