Section of road in Bowling Green to close starting July 15

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Motorists in Bowling Green should be aware of a road closure coming up next week.

A portion of 12th Avenue between High Street and Park Street will be closed for construction Monday, July 15 through Tuesday, July 16, according to city officials.

The City of Bowling Green says the closure is needed to install a high-friction asphalt surface treatment. This could lead to a reduction in automobile accidents, according to officials.

Detours will be in place around the construction zone.
