Secretary of State talks ways to vote ahead of Election Day

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- Election Day is May 17th and quickly approaching. Secretary of State Michael Adams wants Kentuckians to know that they have multiple ways to vote.

The first way to vote is through an absentee ballot. The last day to register for an absentee ballot was Tuesday. If you are voting by absentee ballot, they need to be sent in by May 17th.

The second way is in-person absentee voting. This starts today and goes through May 11th.

Thirdly, people can vote early from May 12-14. This includes a Saturday, which Adams says is a game changer for people who are working.

Of course, the last way you can vote is in person on election day from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

“Voting has never been more accessible nor as secure as it has been in my term of office. I’m really proud of that, we’ve made a lot of improvements on both the access and the security side,” said Adams.

Adams also says they need volunteers to work the polls.
