Secretary Adams announces inaugural ‘I Voted’ sticker contest
BOWLIGN GREEN, Ky.- The office of the Secretary of State has announced its inaugural contest – the “I Voted” sticker contest.
This contest is for all students in Kentucky, ages kindergarten through 12th grade. This gives students a chance to design an “I Voted” sticker for the upcoming presidential election.
Secretary of State Michael Adams and his staff will choose five to 10 of the best designs, print them on ballots, and have Kentuckians vote on the designs at the state fair in August.
Adams says, “We’re always looking for ways to get people engaged, especially our youngest Kentuckians. It’s really important to me in this office, that I inspire confidence in the elections, but also interest. I think a great way to get kids engaged is to make them participants in this process.”
The “I Voted” sticker contest will close on May 17 at 5 p.m. and designs can be submitted to the Secretary of State’s office at sos.secretary@ky.gov
