Scottsville Police Department to receive donated bulletproof vest for K-9
SCOTTSVILLE, Ky.- The Scottsville Police Department will soon receive a donation that will help keep one of its K-9s safe.
K-9 Morgan will receive a bullet and stab protective vest thanks to a charitable donation from the organization, Vested Interest in K-9s Inc.
The vest is sponsored by Elaine Miller of Lillington, North Carolina.
Normally the vests cost between $1,700 and $2,200.
The mission of the organization is to provide bullet and stab protective vests and other assistance to dogs of law enforcement and related agencies throughout the United States.
Delivery to the Scottsville Police Department is expected in 8-10 weeks.
