Scottsville Police Department to hold driver’s education course

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – The Scottsville Police Department is hosting an educational opportunity at the Allen County-Scottsville High School and are encouraging all young motorists to come out. They are hosting a driver’s education course on Saturday at 8 a.m.

News 40 spoke with Darren Tabor who chiefs the Scottsville Police Department, and Tabor said they just wanted to provide a beneficial program being that the local school system does not teach a driver’s education course.

Tabor said out in the parking lot of the high school, they’ll have state certified instructors to help teach the lecture portions as well as guide the cone course that students will navigate.

Tabor said all young drivers are welcome to attend, just bring a a parent or guardian, provide your own vehicle and have at least a driver’s permit.
