Scoops of Joy to attend event benefitting veterans, active military

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – An upcoming event in Bowling Green is working to give back to veterans and active military members.

On Sept. 7, a car show at Texas Roadhouse will be raising funds for the Hero Card program.

Scoops of Joy, a local ice cream business that employs individuals with Down syndrome, will have its team there to spread the joy of something sweet.

According to DSSKY, all funds raised from the car show provide a gift card for veterans and active military on Veterans Day.

The car show is set to last from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
