Santa made a few stops in Bowling Green this morning thanks to Toys for Tots

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Santa Claus tagged along with the Bowling Green Fire Department Christmas morning passing out presents to the community.

It was a morning full of smiles, giggles and Christmas magic.

On Christmas, 100 gifts were given to 100 children in Bowling Green thanks to Toys for Tots.

Firefighters, retired Marines and Santa rode around the city in fire trucks and a go kart with a semi-truck holding Santa’s goodies.

Kids received bikes as well as bags full of toys to open.

Firefighters say this annual service project makes a difference in children’s lives.

“Seeing the kids in the morning and having Santa Claus there and that look on their face and them getting something on Christmas when some of them may not at all, doing this just brings us a lot of joy and gives us a sense of giving back,” said Bowling Green Fire Department Captain Craig White.

This is a department wide effort, including each of the Bowling Green Fire Stations working together to spread some holiday cheer.
