Salvation Army to accept Giving Tuesday donations for those in need

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – On Dec. 3, the Salvation Army of Bowling Green is reaching out to the community to participate in Giving Tuesday.
According to a release by the Salvation Army, a contribution this Giving Tuesday will go to vital resources, like shelter, food, emergency rent and utility assistance and Christmas support for local families.
Giving Tuesday, celebrated annually after Thanksgiving, offers an opportunity to join together and make a difference during the holiday season.
The Salvation Army says it depends on the support of local donors to help the local community.
“Giving Tuesday is a powerful reminder of what we can achieve when we come together as a community,” said Capt. Johnny Horton, corps officer for Bowling Green. “Your donation, no matter the amount, enables us to offer critical assistance to our neighbors in their time of need. Together, we can make the holiday season brighter for everyone.”
