Salvation Army opens Life Navigation Center in Bowling Green
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Salvation Army officially introduced their new Life Navigation Center, or LifeNav.
The center is in partnership with LifeSkills, Hotel Inc., Room in the Inn, Goodwill Industries and the Salvation Army, allowing all five organizations to come together to offer services to the homeless community.
The center will also offer a shower room, laundry services and ways for the community to stay safe during the warmer months.
We spoke to a captain with the Salvation Army, who told us just how valuable this partnership with local nonprofits is to them.
“This building here just allows us to partner together as one… and so it’s just important for us all to work together, have the same goal and to help those who are less fortunate and need help at this time,” Johnny Horton says.
The center is set to open to the public soon. Salvation Army staff say they just need to take a couple extra days to make sure everything is in place before it’s officially available to the community.
