Salient Features artists visits WKU

Since late August, the Salient Features Exhibit has been on display in the Kentucky Museum on WKU’s campus. Earlier today, the museum got a visit from the artist behind the drawings and paintings in the exhibit.

Charles Brindley, a native of Adairville, topped by the museum to host a drawing workshop for WKU students at all levels of artistic development, including beginners.

Brindley says he opened the workshop with a lecture that was open to the entire community and lasted more than an hour before diving into work with the students.

Following the workshop, Brindley held a gallery talk at the exhibit to discuss his inspiration behind it and his background as an artist.

As someone who once was an aspiring young artist himself, Brindley says it’s important for him to give back to kids who share the same dream he did.

The exhibit will be on display inside the Kentucky Museum until December 1st.
