Room in the Inn shares resources during cold temperatures
BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- With temperatures dropping, staying warm is a top priority, and one local organization is making sure those in need have a safe place to stay.
Room in the Inn is stepping up to provide resources for people who are unhoused or without power during this cold weather. They offer essential items like hot hands, sleeping bags and jackets to those who sign up for assistance.
If you’re not in need yourself but see someone struggling in the cold, there are ways to help.
Dwayne Conners, a board member for Room in the Inn, encourages people to reach out to those in need.
“If you see someone who’s out in the elements, maybe they’re camping or just walking, if they’re comfortable, stop and tell them about Room in the Inn,” Conners said. “If they’re uncomfortable, just call the non-emergency line for BGPD to ensure they get help.”
Additionally, donations are always welcome at Room in the Inn, located at the Life Navigation Center at 423 West Main St. This initiative ensures that no one has to face the cold without the warmth and care they need.
