LOUISVILLE, Ky. – A reward is being offered for details leading to an arrest after a critically injured dog was located in a garbage bag at a Louisville park, K105 states.

“LMPD is investigating a heart-breaking case of animal cruelty involving a badly injured Siberian Husky named Sammie that was recently found at Iroquois Park,” Louisville Mayor Craig Greenburg said in a social media post.

Greenburg says Sammie was euthanized due to her severe injuries.

A $30,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest in the case, according to Greenburg.

Greenburg asked anyone with knowledge of who is responsible for this crime to call 502-574-LMPD (5673). Tips may also be submitted anonymously through the LMPD’s online Crime Tip Portal by clicking here.
