Remembering Dale Barbiea, a joy to the Bowling Green Police Department

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Dozens of stories have come to the front as the news broke that Master Police Officer Dale Barbiea had passed on Saturday, June 14.

Barbiea’s funeral was preceded by a large procession and followed by another large procession by BGPD, who loved Barbiea and was of course loved dearly by him.

Officers on funeral day said “Dale loved this community, all he wanted to do was help” and mentioned how humble he was about his service both on and off the clock which reached far and wide.

Fellow officers said they will miss his presence dearly as he was a big jokester and had valued policing experience, and served as a model police officer whose generosity seemed to know no bounds.
