‘Raise the Roof’ Charity Dinner to benefit DSSKY, featuring Tim Tebow
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Down Syndrome of Southern Kentucky is excited to announce that the Inaugural “Raise the Roof” Charity Dinner will be held on Thursday June 27 at Sloan Convention Center and presented by Houchens Food Group.
DSSKY is launching a capital campaign to raise the necessary funds for a new Buddy House as the organization has grown significantly over the past ten years. The current facility is one of only three in the entire state and serves 14 counties in southern Kentucky.
Tim Tebow, the 2007 Heisman Trophy winner and New York Times Best-Selling Author, will be the keynote speaker for the event. During Tim’s playing career he also was part of two National Football Championships at the University of Florida and was a first-round selection of the Denver Broncos.
“We are so excited to be able to have Tim speak at this year’s event. He’s such an inspiration for many and his work for those with Down syndrome has been incredible.” said Eric C. Leach, president of DSSKY.
The event will feature a meet and greet for a limited number of VIP guests, a full dinner, silent auction, live auction, and Tim Tebow speech. Auction items will be plentiful but some of the featured items will be a Tim Tebow autographed helmet, boxing trunks signed by Muhammad
Ali, bat signed by Hank Aaron, and Toby Keith autographed guitar.
Tickets for the event are limited and available by visiting DSSKY.org and clicking on the event Iink and will start with a reception at 5:30 p.m.
People and Companies may purchase an entire table of ten seats, individual tickets, or one of the special meet and greet tickets. All tickets are limited and are expected to sell out.
