RailPark dances back into time to preserve the future of depot
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – As the Historic RailPark and Train Museum’s annual fundraiser and part of the Save the Depot campaign, the park is hosting the Bowling Green Canteen Floorshow with a 1940s style nightclub environment.
The yearlong Save the Depot fundraising campaign kicked off this past January to raise money for the preservation of this historic landmark that has become a staple in the Bowling Green community.
This throwback event brings to life the USO shows hosted by Bob Hope and the best entertainers of the era to show support for Allied soldiers during wartime.
The event includes live entertainment, dinner, drinks and an auction with hot ticket items inspired from the very best of the WWII Hollywood era.
Live performances of Armed Forces Radio hits from legendary Bing Crosby, the Andrews Sisters and Frank Sinatra will shine from the stage.
This event started Thursday night and will continue through Saturday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. each night.
