Presidential candidate Asa Hutchinson visits Bowling Green
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A presidential candidate was in bowling Green Friday meeting with Republican lawmakers and some vying for the Republican nomination for the governor’s race.
Asa Hutchinson spoke at the National Corvette Museum during the Southern Kentucky Lincoln Dinner Day Dinner.
The dinner raises money for the Republican Party of Warren County. Hutchinson is the former governor of Arkansas and just announced his candidacy for president.
Five gubernatorial candidates were also in attendance, including Kelly Craft, Daniel Cameron, Ryan Quarles, Mike Harmon and Alan Keck.
“I’m a student of history and I love the history of Kentucky,” Hutchinson said. “From all of your great leaders to today’s current leaders that you provide for our nation. So part of me wanting to come here is just to see what kind of water you’re drinking and figure I ought to have a little bit of that as well.”
Hutchinson is the first 2024 presidential contender to visit Bowling Green.
